Yongding River Forest Park lies at the southwest part of Shijingshan District, a large desolate beach on the south part of the left bank of Yongding River, adjoining the Fifth Ring on the east and Lianshi West Road on the north, facing the Beijing Garden Expo Park across the river. It is the first park that opened to the public among the “Five Parks and One Belt” in Beijing.
The park transforms the railway that used to transport slags of Shougang Group into a sightseeing route and introduces sightseeing trains and railway bicycles, initiating the practice of touring parks by train in Beijing. Locals can sit on the train while taking in the views of blossoming flowers, lakes and Beijing Garden Expo Park across the river. It is a journey to experience the culture of Yongding River.
