Baqi Cave is located in Mentougou District, only 500 meters away from Tanzhe Temple. The cave is deep and serene with the total length of 1350 meters. It is famous for the “Eight” shape, common known as “created by nature, cave wonder”. Buddhism was spread to Yan City in Jin Dynasty, and many monks conducted mass sermons in the area of Tanzhe Temple. Thus in the cave, there are many portraits of Buddha and monks doing practice Buddhism.
