Beijing Tianqiao Museum, one of key construction projects in Tianqiao Performing Art Center, made its debut during the Chinese New Year 2018. Hidden in underground exhibition area of Tianqiao Civil Square at the intersection of Beiwei Road and Tianqiao South Avenue, it covers an area of nearly 3,000 square meters and serves as a significant component of Tianqiao Performing Art Center for image showcasing. The museum is divided into three theme spaces, namely, Fixed Exhibition Area, Culture Experience Area and Dynamic Exhibition Area. Focusing on the development and inheritance of time-honored histories and cultures of Tianqiao, Fixed Exhibition Area is designed to give a full presentation of historic evolution, landscapes and profound culture of Tianqiao area, by using modern display technologies and involving high-tech interaction programs. Highlighting the historical and cultural characteristics peculiar to Tianqiao, exhibits displayed in this area embrace articles related to celebrated figures, historical stories and cultural relics. Culture Experience Area integrates histories, intangible cultural heritages, arts, aesthetics, folk customs and other fields, which are presented through various activities, such as reading, cultural creativity, training, design, interactive experience, people-benefit cultural exchange. Themed with dynamic demonstration of traditional cultures, Dynamic Exhibition Area is committed to creating itself into a living cultural landmark of Tianqiao Performing Art Center, by means of cultural exchanges with sister cities established with Xicheng District and world heritage cities, Changdian temple fairs, Tianqiao art performance events, people-benefit cultural experiences and other activities.
