The Purple Paradise is located in Gubeikou Town, Miyun District and adjacent to the Simatai Great Wall. Lavender, vervain, chamomile and other almost 200 types of plants are cultivated here, which can be flowering for eight months. Covering 300 mu (about 0.2 square kilometers), the park serves various leisure facilities such as Xiangdi Art Gallery, Herb Exhibition and DIY Studio. It is relaxing to spend time admiring the variation of plants in the garden. It seems outstanding as the sunlight hits the flowers at sea, creating a transient image of purple amid the blue sea. What abounds is a light fragrance of mint and lavender. Honey bees resound at the rear, watching butterflies playing in pairs, which feels as good as being on an island in the South of France.
