Sprawling 44,000 mu (2934.8 hectares), Badaling National Forest Park is home to 539 kinds of plants and 158 kinds of animals. With the forest coverage of 96%, it prides itself in being China's first eco-friendly non-commercial forest that acquires global FSC certification. And the park is featured by Hongyeling Scenic Spot, Qinglonggu Scenic Area, Dingxianggu Scenic Area and Shixia Scenic Area. Among them, the highlights are the natural wonder where the Great Wall flows over the red leaves sea in autumn and the series dragon-viewing scenic spots, not to mention an array of unique landscapes with high value like Syringa reticulata, apricot blossoms and pear flowers.
