Yaji Mountain is located in the Liujiadian Town of Pinggu District. The Yaji Mountain is 363 meters high. During the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the mountain was spoken highly of by the emperors, and some of its aliases such as the Golden Summit, the Mount Tai in Jidong, the Place of Happiness, and the Fairy Palace were bestowed by the emperors. An ancestral temple called Bixiayuanjun Temple sits proudly on the mountain. Created in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt and extended in later years, Bixiayuanjun Temple has now become one of the most famous ancient ancestral temples.
