If you want to see rare and exotic flowers and plants from all around the world in Beijing, I'd recommend none other than the Beijing Garden of World's Flowers.

When entering the garden, what first comes into view is a small garden square brimming with lush plants and blooming flowers, interspersed with exquisite sculptures.

Going forward, you can see a small lake opposite a greenhouse of tropical plants, a signature building of the garden.

The biggest attraction of the garden is the seven greenhouses.

The best visiting route is to go through the garden square and turn right to the first greenhouse. This is no ordinary greenhouse, but a large flower research laboratory. Inside the spacious greenhouse, rows of glass bottles are neatly lined up in the cabinets, each grown with fresh seedlings that, unlike those under ordinary circumstances, are cultivated with special care. With such cultivation these seedlings are believed to be able to grow stronger. Through the glass you can see the hustle and bustle in the lab.

Past the laboratory is the spacious shopping hall of premium flowers.

A few steps forward will bring you to the entrance of the second greenhouse, the vegetable and melon garden, lying on the left side of the path. You are greeted at the entrance by a giant golden pumpkin. The greenhouse is full of exquisite vegetables and melons, among which are eggplants in the shape of five fingers or with white skins, different types of gourds, one-meter-long caper berries, bright red peppers that look like miniature parachutes, giant carrots, and ripening cotton flowers bursting like smiley faces.

What lies beyond the vegetable and melon garden is the next greenhouse of premium flowers. As you enter the room, you would be immediately attracted by the potted orchids hanging on the wall, each blooming with life.

Since this is the greenhouse of premium flowers, flowers are the absolute star of the show. Beyond the little square lies an ocean of flowers with clusters, blossoms and strings of dazzling white, red and yellow, which is a feast for your eyes. Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with the flowers, for each flower comes with a name placard.

After the greenhouse of premium flowers, the next stop on the route is the lily-shaped pavilion of tropical plants, a treasure of the Beijing Garden of World's Flowers and also the signature building you see earlier at the entrance.

After the pavilion of tropical plants, you would reach the pavilion of desert plants that is filled with a variety of cacti. This pavilion might ring a bell with you, because it would remind you of the Wanshengyuan Greenhouse of the Beijing Botanic Garden. Apart from the tropical plants that grow all year round, there is a special area for desert plants on the second floor of the Wanshengyuan Greenhouse. Plants in these two places are more or less the same, mainly including assorted cacti in various shapes and sizes.

After the pavilion for desert plants is the flower tea room, where, as the name suggests, you can have some tea and take a rest while enjoying the flowers. Everywhere you look there are flowers and plants all around, and the flowers hanging from the top are especially eye-catching.
