While Nanluoguxiang has long been overtaken by tourist hordes, it is really more fun to scoot across the street to Beiluoguxiang. With successful lounges in both Yangshuo and Dali, Siif's three-floor Beijing location is an intimate gem buried deep in the hutongs. The interior features funky furniture designed by the owner's brother and cool glass floors. The ground and first floors are loungey affairs, while the basement features decks and a small dancing area that's perfect for private parties or experimental boogie sessions that won't attract the masses. Drinks are fairly cheap and poured very strong; it won't cost much to get yourself dancing blissfully to the reggae, hip-hop, and drum 'n' bass on weekends.
