CD Cafe, as the oldest base for jazz, is a must-go destination. CD Cafe, the renowned jazz pub in the deep lane next to National Agriculture Exhibition Center, has the most appealing posters of the top jazz masters on the wall. Allegedly, these posters are bought by Liu Yuan, “Father of Jazz in China” during his overseas performances. CD Cafe is crowded with jazz lovers including the regular customers Cui Jian and Liu Huan. In the pub, you can feel yourself totally surrounded by the jazz in all senses. Even if it’s a heavy dark red curtain in front of you, you might want to applause for it.
