Located at Huairou' s picturesque Liuduhe Village which is hailed as the village of Chinese chestnut, Old Carpenter Homestay is a traditional quadrangle characterized by wood culture. Its owner is a 69-year-old carpenter surnamed Wang, and this yard is a testimony to his craftsmanship. On the whole, this yard takes the shape of a big bird on the wing. When you look closely, you will find its rooms well arranged. Those green tiles, white walls and well-proportioned wooden decorations are best interpretations of novelty. Moreover, there grows a sturdy, old Chinese scholar tree which brings a strong visual impact. Guests will find wood furniture and decorations with hundreds of years' history, vintage furniture made by the owner as well as experience the wood culture like sawing and planing wood.
