Tong He Ju Restaurant was founded in 1822. , The restaurant has provided customer oriented service since it opened, and let customers "feel at home". The restaurant was named as "Tong He Ju", which came from the meaning of "Being amiable bosom friends".

At early stages, Tong He Ju provided palace flavor dishes, which were gradually taken place by Shandong style dishes. Shandong dishes can be classified into "Fushan style" and "Jiaodong" style. Tong He Ju offers Shandong Fushan style dishes, which are known for fresh fish and seafood cooking and require excellent cooking techniques, such as sauté, quick-fry, stew, stir-fry, and braise. Shandong Fushan style dishes have characteristics of clean, fresh, crisp, tender and colorful.

Tong He Ju has many famous dishes, among which Scrambled Egg, Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallion, Stewed Cuttlefish Roe, Braised Fish Maw Soup, Crab-Flavored Fish, Three Flavor Crispy Rice, and Baked Bun enjoy great popularity.
