Established in 1990, Beijing Theater is situated at the northeast corner of Anhui Bridge beside the Asian Games Village, adjacent to the 4th Ring Road in the core area of Ya’ao business circle. It has a building area of 9,387 square meters with a free parking lot in its front square, and enjoys a great position and a superior cultural environment which make the Beijing Theater a comprehensive theater integrating performances, exhibitions, conventions and movies.The Beijing Theater is in possession of a large luxury theater accommodating 900 people, a small multi-function theater and five movie theaters with elements of modern era.
The Beijing Theater as the main place for cultural performances in the northern Beijing once staged a variety of performances such as Peking opera named Rose and Thorns of Tongrentang, CCTV public benefit activity called The Same Song, stage drama Happy Mahua, as well as performances from the National Ballet of Albania, the opening ceremony of the 22th Beijing College Student Film Festival, seminar by Jiang Xun, an aesthetician from Taiwan region, China CEO Summit Forum and Social Innovation Week 2014. These performances, conventions and exhibitions make a theater with a great influence and reputation in the society.
