Housed in an elegant Soviet-style building, the Beijing Capital Theater is part of the Beijing People’s Art Theater that is located at northern end of Wangfujing Street, one of the busiest areas of Beijing. Built in 1954, the theater is one of the earliest theaters in China as well as one of the largest theaters. Covering an area of 15 thousand square meters, it is a complex of performances, rehearse and administration. The theater features classical and luxurious design whose auditorium and lounge are decorated with various stylish lanterns. It can hold about 1000 audiences and boasts decent audio system to ensure audiences enjoying performance. In addition, drama bookstore, gallery, and café are available.
