On the early morning of November 19, Beijing saw its first snowfall of this winter. Although there was no snow in the urban areas, the snow transformed many suburbs of Beijing into winter wonderlands.
Located in Beijing Miyun District, Gubei Water Town was covered with snow, from the tourist service center to the Yuanyang Lake Reservoir at the foot of the Simatai Great Wall, presenting a scene of gleaming white snow. After snow, the Simatai Great Wall winding through the mountains presented a vast expanse of layers upon layers of white snow, showcasing the beautiful scenery of northern China. Overlooking the entire Gubei Water Town from the beacon tower, you can feel the solemn atmosphere of this northern-style courtyard, with its small bridge crossing a stream between buildings, making it a scene like an elegant classical ink painting, from which one gains a panoramic view of northern China's winter scenery. This year, the scenery around Mutianyu Great Wall has been particularly beautiful. Fiery-red leaves just fallen, followed by a sea of fine gauze-like clouds. The graceful dissipation of the could sea ushered in winter's arrival. The first snow of 2020, which fell quietly along the Great Wall's zigzag path across the remote mountains at night, brought joy to the visitors who witnessed it. The snow added feather-like adornment on the pines and left hoar frost on the bricks, which resembled an invitation of the Great Wall in winter. Winter is the time to enjoy the snow view. We welcome you to the Mutianyu Great Wall with snow-covered mountains and snow-decked trees.
