Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex is invested by China International Travel Service (CITS) Group Corporation with a total investment of 5 billion yuan ($800 million) and operated by its subsidiary, China Duty Free Group. The store is a travel retail business shop that integrates duty-free shopping, taxable shopping, dining and entertainment, and cultural displays. The outlet is adjacent to two major transportation hubs, the East Line High-speed Expressway and the East Line Railway, and is only 30 minutes away from downtown Sanya. The building is decorated as a beautiful "Begonia flower" blooming on the blue coastline, and is both Sanya's new landmark and a distinctive travel retail destination of Hainan Island. The Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex gathers nearly 300 international renowned brands in the 120,000 sq m floor area. The three-floor store is divided into A and B zones with a corridor connecting each other on the top level. As the world's largest single-building duty-free shop, the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex has the largest area for perfumes and cosmetics among similar types of shops in the Asian-Pacific region. Some top-level international brands became duty-free in China for the first time, encompassing Armani Makeup, Burberry Makeup, Cosme Decorte, Prada, MiuMiu, G. Armani, Dolce Gabbana, Burberry Kids, Balenciaga, Chloe, Rolex, Tudor, JLC and IWC.

Among the 70 world renowned makeup brands, the areas of Estee Lauder, Dior, Chanel and Lancome all surpass 120 sq m and the first three stores are the brands' largest in global tourism retail markets.
